The Pickleball courts are unavailable during the winter.

STCC now has 3 Pickleball courts! Located outdoors on the rink surface, available for use from May through October.

Note: Nets are available upon request.

Beginning this fall, STCC has the following Pickleball equipment available for recreational use:

  • 3 regulations size Pickleball nets,

  • 4 paddles per court,

  • Outdoor-use balls.

Information on how to reserve this equipment will be available once the facility reopens this fall.

What is Pickleball?

Pickleball is a paddle ball sport (similar to a racquet sport) that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, with 26-40 round holes, over a net.

The sport shares features of other racquet sports: the dimensions and layout of a badminton court, and a net and rules somewhat similar to tennis, with several modifications. -Wikipedia
